Product’s description
The bolo do caco is a typical wheat bread from the island of Madeira, which can also be found on the island of Porto Santo. Despite having the name of cake, it is actually a typical bread of the region. Its round and flat shape is due to the way it was cooked in the old days, in a basalt stone, called “caco”, which in turn gave rise to the name, Bolo do Caco. Currently this bread is consumed as a starter, accompaniment or as a main delicacy.
