Product’s description
Pegasus soybean paste is a fermented soybean paste made exclusively from high-quality soybeans. It can be used in all dishes that call for soybean paste, such as soybean paste stew, soybean paste soup and seasoned soybean paste.
Ingredients such as fermented soybean paste, soybeans, rice, salt and koji are used, and it is fermented using traditional methods in the pristine environment of Sunchang county.
It was first developed in 2009 and has been enjoyed for around 15 years since its creation.
It is currently exported not only to Korea, but also to countries such as Singapore and the USA. Pegasus soybean paste is made using the traditional Korean method of soybean paste production, which has effects such as anti-cancer properties, vascular strengthening and detoxification.
Soybean paste has a higher protein absorption rate than soy itself. This is due to the fact that the micro-organisms involved in fermentation break down soy protein into amino acids, resulting in higher rates of digestion and protein absorption. Traditional Korean soybean paste is a food whose taste and nutritional value have increased, and Koreans eat soybean paste or soybean paste dishes at every meal. Todangfood Farm Corporation is located in Sunchang County, South Korea, where all products are manufactured. Sunchang County has been renowned for its traditional fermented foods since the Joseon Dynasty, notably soybean paste and red pepper paste. To perpetuate this tradition, Sunchang County has created the Sunchang Fermented Food Museum and organizes an annual Fermented Food Festival.
