Teff-based product

We offer :

•  Teff flakes: 

This ingredient is produced by heat-treating, rolling and drying a mixture of brown and white teff. The result is a small flake with a light aroma of roasted nuts. Our flakes have all the same properties as raw teff grain, with the added advantage of a high water absorption capacity - and they're ready to use.

• Teff soluble flour

Our soluble flour, similar to standard flour, is produced for customers who need a flour that dissolves better than standard flour. The milling process is more complex. As with cereals, we offer white and brown flours produced from white and brown cereals respectively. We can also produce a flour from a mixture of the two types at the customer's request. Products can be made either with teff alone, or in combination with other flours. It's easy to make products from teff alone, or it can be easily blended with other flours or powdered ingredients, such as cocoa, proteins, spices, etc.

• Teff grains

Teff is the world's smallest cereal. There are many varieties available, but we grow two types that have proved particularly well-suited to the climatic and soil conditions of Spain. One is white and the other brown. The nutritional characteristics are very similar, and the choice of one or the other depends on application and consumer preference. In some ancient documents, it is stated that white teff was consumed by the upper social classes and dark teff by soldiers and servants. Today, however, this distinction no longer exists.

After harvesting, our teff undergoes several processes, including cleaning, heat treatment and homogenization, to guarantee our customers a clean, standardized grain. This is used primarily for milling, but also as an ingredient in other industrial processes or for packaging in smaller retail packs.
