Bontà was founded in Prato in 1994, and began its career producing traditional Tuscan gourmet sauces and ragù under the Toscanacci and Accademia Toscana brands. In 2011, the company was acquired by the Barbagli and Carapelli families, protagonists in the food sector for over 100 years, who enabled its development while keeping its strong traditional identity intact.
In 2012, the Nuova Terra brand was added, a major player in the cereals, pulses and seeds market for over twenty years.
In 2022, the historic F.lli Chiaverini jam brand was acquired, still at the head of a Florentine estate, as it has been since its birth in 1928.
Today, Le Bontà is a large, independent and well-structured reality, bringing together 4 quality brands united by the objective of offering products with a strong connotation of authenticity and naturalness.
