Michalis Kosmidis' grandfather ran a confectionery laboratory in Peran, Istanbul. He was known and appreciated for his extremely tasty and quality candies. In 1922, after the destruction of Asia Minor, he came to Piraeus and created a small laboratory that produced all the forgotten flavors products of his own homeland.
