Product’s description
Antiqua is a stoneground flour, and therefore unrefined: the grains of wheat are in fact milled just once, to retain all their organoleptic and nutritional properties intact.
Antiqua stands out for its intense aroma and its amber colour, due to the natural bran and germ of the wheat. Because of this, compared to a 00-grade flour, it is a more complete source of fibre and protein and contains less carbohydrate.
TYPE 1: The palest of the stoneground flours, versatile and easy to use. Contains the entire floury core of the wheat grain, including the parts nearest the outside and the bran, which give it character.
TYPE 2: Also known as semi-wholemeal, it contains the finest particles of the bran and the germ as well as the floury core, which give it a dark, even colour.
WHOLEMEAL: Real wholemeal flour, made by simply grinding the entire grain and not sieved, to retain all the natural properties of the wheat.
CEREALS: Consists of a base of Antiqua Type 2 flour enriched with wholemeal rye flour, soya beans, sesame seeds, oat flakes, linseed, cornmeal, millet seeds and barley flakes.
