Velibaba Spice was founded in 1981, as a family run company, and it has now reached its third generation. We deal with Turkish origin aromatic herbs, spices, oil seeds and seasonings. Especially Oregano, Thyme, Laurel Leaves, Sage, Rosemary, Cumin, Anise, Fennel, Nigella, Fenugreek, Mahleb, Coriander Seeds, Ivy Levaes, Cherry Stems, Licorice, Olive Leaves, Lady’s Mantle, Seaonings like, Caju, Fajitas, Mediterranean Herbs, Barbecue either under our brand or PL. Besides that we also dealing with aromatical herbal oil, like Oregano Oil, Laurel Leaves Oil, Rosemary Oil etc.
Apart from our facility is in the North of Izmir, our main manufacturing site is in the Industrial zone in Izmir. The site is build on 16.000m2 of land with a 3500m2 of closed area. In this facility, we focus mainly on processing Turkish origin aromatic herbs, especially Oregano. Our main storage area includes metal detectors and various packing possibilities. We also have a fully equipped laboratory where we perform all the basic physical tests both at raw material admission and preshipment.
As a company policy, we aim to move forward in quality and follow developments quality assurance systems. We are ISO 9000, ISO 22000, BRC, Star K Kosher and Halal certified, and aim at projects that focus on sustainability and fair trade.
We are proud to be member of American Spice Trade Association (ASTA) and European Spice Association (ESA) as well.
