An old-established soy sauce brewery founded in 1807. Our high-quality soy sauce won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Prize at the National Soy Sauce Competitive Exhibition for three times. On March 11, 2011, Rikuzentakata City of Iwate Prefecture, where our company was located, was devastatively damaged in Great East Japan earthquake, and cellars and factories of Yagisawa Shoten were completely destroyed and washed away. However, we moved the sales base to Ichinoseki City of Iwate Prefecture and resumed operation by outsourcing the brewing to breweries in and outside the prefecture. We started sale of 'Kiseki-No-Hishio (Miracle fermented seasoning)' brewed from moromi, or unrefined soy sauce, that miraculously survived the earthquake.
Our corporate vision consists of three major principles:
1. To foster and express gratitude through providing food and aim at materializing the society where we can be healthy and coexist with the nature of the community;
2. To acquire knowledges with the Japanese culture in mind and aim at being sincere and broad-minded food experts; and
3. To develop and inherit the brewing culture of Japanese fermented seasoning.
Observing these three principles, we are dedicated to providing safe and delicious food products.
